Which devices does Journew run on?
Journew is made for iPhone and iPad. Your trips stay in sync across both via iCloud.
Is Journew free?
Yes! Downloading and using the core of Journew is free: plan trips, add activities, keep your tickets together, track costs. Journew Pro adds extras for frequent travelers as an optional subscription, such as unlimited trips at the same time and cost-split settlement for groups. You can see all details and prices right in the app.
Does Journew work offline?
Absolutely. Your trips, activities and tickets are stored on your device, so they’re right there even on the plane or in a subway tunnel. Only things like map tiles need a connection.
Where is my data stored?
On your device and, if you use iCloud, in your personal iCloud account. We don’t store your travel data on our own servers and can’t see it. The details are in our privacy policy.
Can I share a trip with someone?
Yes, you can share whole trips via iCloud and plan together. You decide who can just look and who can edit. And if you only want to pass along a single tip, share an activity as a link. The recipient adds it to their own trip with one tap.
Can I scan my tickets?
Yes! Import PDFs or scan paper tickets right with your camera. Attach each ticket to the matching activity and assign it to a travel buddy if you like.
Can I protect the app from prying eyes?
Yes. You can enable an app lock in the settings. Journew then only opens with Face ID or Touch ID.
Which languages is Journew available in?
Journew is currently available in English and German. The app automatically follows your system language.
What happens to my trips if I get a new device?
If iCloud sync is on, your trips simply appear on your new device once you sign in with your Apple Account. Nothing to export, nothing to lose.
