Journew shows every travel day as a calendar-style timeline: your activities sit as blocks on an hour grid, and when two things overlap, they simply line up side by side. Want to move lunch to the afternoon? Just drag the block. On iPad you even see several days next to each other, like a week view in a calendar.
🚶 Travel time is part of the plan
Between your activities, Journew shows the actual legs of your day: how you get from the museum to the restaurant, and how long it takes. Tap a leg for directions or to switch between walking, transit and driving. Even the way back to your hotel in the evening is right there.
🗺 See your day on a map
Every day of your trip also lives on a map. Your activities appear as numbered pins in the order you planned them, your hotel right alongside. One glance tells you whether tomorrow stays in one neighbourhood or sends you across town.
🏨 Your hotel always has your back
Add your accommodation once and Journew keeps track of the rest: which hotel is “tonight’s”, when you’re switching places mid-trip, and when it’s the last night. No more “wait, which hotel was it in Kyoto?”
🎟 Tickets, right where you need them
You know the moment: you’re at the entrance, the line is moving, and you’re scrolling through your inbox looking for that one confirmation email. With Journew, every ticket lives right next to the activity it belongs to. Import a PDF or simply scan a paper ticket with your camera and assign it to a travel buddy if you like. Tap the activity, there’s your ticket. Done.

Add your travel buddies with names and photos, then share the whole trip via iCloud. Everyone invited sees the same plan. You decide who can just look and who can edit. Costs know your group too: every expense remembers who paid and who was in.
🔗 Share one activity, no account needed
Don’t want to share the whole trip, just that one hidden gem? Share a single activity as a link. The recipient sees a preview and adds it to their own trip with one tap. Via Apple’s “Shared with You”, activities from Messages even show up in your trip list automatically.
💶 Splitting costs without the awkward math
Journew tracks every price per person and, if you like, suggests the simplest way to settle up at the end: who pays whom, in as few transfers as possible. And because trips rarely stick to one currency, Journew is deliberately multi-currency: amounts stay grouped per currency. If you’d rather see everything in your own currency, Journew converts it for you using current exchange rates.
🛡 Know the ground before you land
For every country your trip touches, Journew gathers what’s worth knowing before you go: the current safety picture, official travel advisories, and honest notes on things like local drug laws, LGBTQ+ acceptance and women’s safety. If your device isn’t set to English, Journew can translate it all right on the device. Sources are always credited, and you can turn the whole thing off in the settings.
📅 Holidays and school breaks, right in your dates
Planning around a long weekend? While you pick your dates and on each day of the trip, Journew flags public holidays and school breaks for your destination, so a surprise closure or a packed museum doesn’t catch you out.
🖼️ Every trip gets a face
Give your trip a cover photo or pick an emoji, and Journew builds a matching colour gradient around it automatically. A little badge counts down the days to departure, then switches to “day 3 of 7” once you’re on the road. Your trip list becomes a gallery of memories-to-be.
🏠 Your next trip, on your Home Screen
Add the Journew widget and your next adventure counts down right on your Home Screen. Once you’re travelling, it flips to today: which day of the trip you’re on and what’s coming up next. Tap it to jump straight into the plan.
☁️ In sync on iPhone and iPad
Journew is a native app on both. Sketch out the big picture on the iPad’s multi-day view, then carry everything in your pocket on the iPhone. Your trips sync through your personal iCloud, automatically and in the background.
📱 At home on your Apple device
Journew feels like part of the system: ask Siri “What’s next?” and find trips and activities right from Spotlight search. And if you like, protect the app with Face ID or Touch ID.
